Is there likely to be any manufacturing delays like other crowdfunded projects which have failed to deliver?

Unlike all those other campaigns, we have already paid up front from our own pockets for the tooling cost and produced samples for testing. With the positive response of the final samples we will be able to begin production before the campaign closes with no manufacturing complications. We’ve accounted for potential delays with our expected delivery date and are confident we will deliver on time.

We would like to advise that only 1 promotional offer can be applied to each order.

Refund Policy

You can initiate 100% refunds during when the campaign is live by going to the “Manage your pledge” button.

Last updated: March 13, 2020 19:15

Return & Exchange Policy (Part 1)

Please note all sales are final. Indiegogo is not able to guarantee that perks will be delivered or deemed satisfactory. The nature of crowdfunding is such that campaigns on Indiegogo are raising funds for work-in-progress projects, ideas, or causes. Contributing to a campaign and claiming a perk on Indiegogo is not the same as buying a product online.

Last updated: March 13, 2020 19:15

Return & Exchange Policy (Part 2)

There will be no exchanges or returns for change of mind. In the event your product becomes faulty, please email us [email protected] with a description of the issue. Once we assess the issue and are able to determine its a product fault, you’ll be able to pay the $7USD reshipping fee for the product(s). We’ll then dispatch your replacement order straight away. Please note that if an item has been discontinued, we are no longer able to provide warranty on that item.

Last updated: March 13, 2020 19:15

Shipping Policy

If our shipping provider attempts to deliver to your address and the package is returned because of any of these reasons, there will be a reshipping fee: no-one is available to receive the package, the location is not accessible, you’ve provided the wrong address or you have moved without notifying us before the delivery dispatch.

Does Flash come with a wall charger?

No, as you can already power it at max speed with your existing 100W USB-C wall charger such as the original 15” or 16” Macbook Pro. We also offer one at a discounted rate during the BackerKit survey phase which happens right after the campaign has concluded.

Last updated: March 13, 2020 19:15

Does Flash come with a USB-C to USB-C cable?

Be warned that most USB-C cables are not designed or rated to handle 100W (20V/5A) and require an E-Mark chip which prevents the circuit from overloading and allows the high power to be reached safely. Cables with this chip and compatibility tend to cost $20+ so you will notice a much slower charge speed using a regular USB-C to USB-C cable such as the original cable that comes with a Ipad Pro or Samsung Note 10+/S10+. Our Infinity Cables comes with an E-Mark chip meaning it can be used safely

Last updated: March 13, 2020 19:15

Can Flash charge from empty to full charge in only 1 hour?

Yes but please note that this is only achievable when using a 100W input. Anything less will result in a slower charge time. If you don’t currently own items which can achieve this output, we offer a wall charger and our Infinity Cable at a discounted rate during the BackerKit survey phase which happens right after the campaign has concluded.

How should I store Flash when it's not being used?

The optimal conditions to store the flash are as follows: -Store at ~50% of charge, check every few months. -Store in low-temperature storage space ideally at 25°C/ 77°F. We do advise using the Flash every few months to ensure the chemicals in the battery are moving.

Last updated: March 13, 2020 19:15

Can you share Flash's battery chemical structure?

A company’s battery chemical structure is a trade secret which isn’t shared publicly or to most of the company’s staff. One major reason is other companies will copy their technology which is why many leading brands only put li-po on their battery. This stands for “lithium polymer” which means it’s a lithium-ion (li-ion) battery with additives of other special materials.

Do graphene powerbanks already exist?

We are not the first graphene powerbank nor are we claiming to be, you can find a list of other graphene powerbank brands here: https://bit.ly/31naj6B. There are companies in China already selling graphene powerbanks online: https://bit.ly/399ARe3

I can't find evidence that Tesla has graphene in their batteries. Why is this the case?

Huawei and Samsung holds the patent on graphene batteries. This means manufacturers of graphene composite (li-po) batteries will not disclose if there is graphene in their batteries as it violates patents. Huawei appears to be the first to launch products with graphene batteries, then Samsung, then Panasonic (and Tesla partnership with Panasonic) but this isn’t publicly disclosed often or at all due to the graphene patents. How does Tesla batteries have such a long battery life cycle?

While Tesla most likely won’t verify this directly, Tesla batteries (21700, and most likely the older 18650) have graphene in them but again this isn’t advertised publicly as it’s only an additive and the majority is still li-ion. Without the graphene it’s impossible for Tesla’s car batteries to have such a large life cycle (they claim 1,500) as standard li-ion is only 500 cycles before it degrades to less than 80% of original capacity.

How to calculate what charge % the Flash Powerbank can achieve for a specific device?

Let’s use an 87W MacBook Pro 15” as an example. The best way to answer your question is using the following formula which calculates the conversion of watt hrs to mah whr = mah1000V. The Flash is 74whr/3.7v x 1000 * 70% (effciency at 20V) = 14000m. The Macbook Pro 15” is Macbook Pro 15” = 83.6 whr = 22,000mah = 63%.

What are the differences between Flash 2.0 and 1.0?

The differences between Flash 2.0 and 10 are as follows:

  • Extra USB-C 60W Power Delivery 3.0 port. Flash 2.0 has 2 x USB-C port. This was by far our most popular request, you asked and we delivered!
  • Increased combined total output of the 5 ports from 150W to 210W, making Flash 2.0 the most powerful powerbank in the world.
  • Upgraded PCB, means both USB-C ports no longer draw power from each other when used simultaneously.
  • Pass-through is also available on the 60W USB-C port meaning you can charge up your Macbook Pro and Flash 2.0 at the same time.
  • Exclusive Indiegogo price of $157 ($8 optional upgrade from Flash 1.0). Saving you 51% (RRP $320)
  • Available in 4 colours Midnight Black, Space Grey, Black and Blue & Black and Gold

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
